Description
Ive only been to New York City once, and as this image suggests, I really need to go back. A cursory look at this shot will reveal that it is date even if it was shot as recently as 2008. Although the Empire State Building looks fine enough as a focal point of the image; the rest of the skyline is missing a few components. The New York Times tower was still under construction, and the infamous World Trade Center site was temporarily rather underwhelming (although since reinstated to its former glory). It still think this is a remarkable site, though it is hard to image the hive of activity; and the billions of dollars of productivity that plays out just infront of your eyes when viewed from such a vantage point I could stare at such a scene for hours. The shot was taken from the Rockefeller Tower, which I think is good competition for the Empire State Building. After all, the skyline views from the Empire State Building miss one crucial and important part of the city skyline the Empire State Building itself!
