Artist's Description

One of the more iconic shots (and to be sure there are a huge amount of candidates!) of New York City is looking back up 5th Avenue from Washington Square Park. As the streets meets the park head on, you can easily get a shot which looks directly on to the line of traffic, and with the array of traffic signals offering a nicely repetitive pattern, it really does represent a great opportunity to get one of those iconic New York shots. I was lucky enough (or perhaps it is more common than I think) to get a line of the well known NY Yellow Cabs charging doen 5th Avenue in formation to provide a strong focal pit for this shot.
