Artist's Description

This is a shot of the Forth Bridge in Scotland, crossing a rainy and moody Firth of Forth Estuary, just north of Edinburgh. I went looking for some rainy shots that day, hoping for an opportunity to either get some black and white high contrast shots, or to bring out the rich colours of the structure un-diminished by the ambient colour in the sky. In the end I managed to get both kinds of shots, having patiently waited for the worst of the weather to clear. This shot was my favourite though. It is an HDR creation, which I feel really accentuates the fantastic reds and oranges of the steel and brickwork.
