Examples of the endless charm of the New Orleans French Quarter can be found in almost any facet or aspect of the area, and in any place you choose to look. I first took this image as I liked the way the blue fa�ade contrasted with the orange brickwork beneath. That in itself made it a simple, but pleasing image for me. However, the more I reflected, the more I tended to believe that this simply image was kind of representative of the charm and history of New Orleans itself. Take the colours: where else but in the French Quarter would such contrasting and vibrant colours be used as a fa�ade, and where else would this example of dis-repair be allowed to fester and grow? I did like, though, the this orange brock fa�ade seemed to be forcing its way through the more modern exterior; almost if the secrets this French Quarter building kept about its colonial past where just bursting to be told.
