Artist's Description

Theres something about a deep pool of mountain water that is so attractive in Scotland; maybe its the cold freshness of it, or the power of the raging torrent, but I was certainly glad to get this shot in Glencoe, Scotland. This is another one of those shots that took some effort to get; so coupled with being able to reach this spot and take in the scene while composing the image, it is definitely one that can be filed under the fulfilling category. It was maybe only 100 ft or so from the roadside, but I had to climb up a steep sided sodden rock ridden embankment to get to spot, something most of the other tourists were not prepared to do. The waterfalls are actually known as the Falls of Glencoe, and on any other day they would perhaps not have been quite as powerful, but I guess the stormy looking background was actually my friend that day, providing all the ingredients for this Scottish mountain scene.
