Artist's Description
This is the Mesa Verde National Park, in Southwest Colorado, a part of Montezuma County. It's an HDR image using 3 shots, processed in Photomatix. Shot with a Nikon D300 and 17-50mm Tamron, f/10, 1/13s. We actually stopped to take this image near sunset on the way out of the park. The setting sun lit up this desolate landscape beautifully leaving me with no choice but to stop, get out of the car, and walk back to shoot it. It was almost an alien looking landscape, post-apocalyptic even.
