Description
One of my favourite shots from the past 6 years. Taken on a rainy day Saturday morning in New York City. While my wife went shopping on Broadway, I was determined to get myself down the Brooklyn Bridge and take a walk over this great American landmark. The rain would not deter me, although I did only make it half way across the bridge. The was good enough though, and I did get the shots I wanted. That included this one, from right underneath one of those amazing piers. I love the way the cable stayed / suspension cables system becomes almost as much of a focal point of the image than the pier itself. There are countless examples of this photograph all the way across the internet. But, hey, I like my own, and the gloomy weather which initially tried to deter me became a necessary part of the image.
