For a long time i have looked at potential places to photograph Buachaille Etive Mor, the dominating and daunting looking peak at the southern reach of Glencoe. After looking at Google Earth for a long time, i had the opportunity to get out and explore. I parked the car and walked about around the vicinity of one of the local rivers beneath the summit, hopping to find a good vantage point. I found one that i liked after a two or three minute hike. I tend to think that it would look better in winter, but this was July and i live in Texas. So you take what you can get, right? Perhaps on my next trip home in the winter i will take a jaunt up here, wellies and all, brave the cold and get the shot that i really came here to get.
