Description
We arrived at the Outer Hebrides off a boat from the Isle of Skye, and into the small port of Tarbet, following which we drove north into Lewis and the port of Stornoway. However, the drive out of Tarbet took us high into the Harris / Lewis mountains which were simply a sight to behold. A treacherous, rugged, and ruthless landscape; characterized by fog covered mountains, sea lochs, and boulder strewn steep drops along the side of the road as it wound its way higher and higher in elevation. This shot was taken as we drove back down south, and up again into the mountains. The stormy conditions were not exactly inviting; more ominous and daunting. However, this made for some perfect photography opportunities, such as this one, as we drove deeper and deeper into the nasty Outer Hebridean weather.
