Description

The red streetcars of New Orleans were victims of Hurricane Katrina, suffering damage which kept them out of service for several years after the storm. They did return in around 2010, and were again to be seen on their regular Canal Street route. This image was taken in the spring time, the obvious clue being the Jazz Fest decorations on the street lights. I added a texture to this image…. Because it was something that I was experimenting with at the time. Several years later I still like it – so it stays up! New Orleans, 2010.
