Artist's Description

This is a shot of the harbour at the English seaside resort town of Scarborough. One of the striking features of this harbour is the very large tidal range, which can be as much as 6 or 7 metres. Compared to the Gulf coast, where I currently live, this is huge. You can actually see the seaweed line of the bulkhead wall in this image. Infact, I took those shot from beneath the harbour bulkhead on the opposite side. If the tide was any further out I would have been able to walk all the way into the harbour!
