Artist's Description
While my wife was below deck watching Eastenders, I was at the stern of the m/v Clansman as it made its back through the Sound of Mull towards Oban. We were travelling back from Barra in the Outer Hebrides on a 6 hour ride to the mainland. Even though it was July, it was cold; very cold but yet my wife was missing out on this amazing sight. The clouds looked magnificent as the sun set beneath them, lighting up the wake waves on this picturesque body of water beautifully. It was getting towards the end of our Scotland trip, and scenes like these are always enough to stir a contemplative emotion; wondering why I decided to leave Scotland so long ago. Still, this image hangs on my own wall, providing a lasting memory of this amazing Scottish coastal landscape.
