There�s something about taking long exposure shots � and getting it right � that is just so satisfying. That�s the beauty of photography; it brings a level of satisfaction that is difficult to match. This time, for me, it was this image of the Galveston Pleasure Pier during the twilight hour. The lights on the roller coaster and the ferris wheel looked magnificent in the low light conditions, and the image was aided in no small measure by the use of filters to create the more ethereal look to the Gulf of Mexico shoreline. It�s been said to me that the Galveston shoreline is nothing but to look at. I beg to differ.
