Around about the time I was obsessing with night time long exposure images, I took this shot on my habitual walk home from the convenience store near our home in Uptown New Orleans. It was as much as anything, intended to be a reminder to myself of our neighborhood given our pending departure from NOLA. I do quite like the way it turned out though. The cracks in the road and the detail in the fa�ade of the upscale Monkey Hill bar worked well in the image. It very much reminds me of my frequent trips into this, my one time local bar, and it does have an Uptown New Orleans style to it. It may not be instantly recognizable to many (especially those that don�t know the city very well) but I felt it was interesting enough to share here, and maybe more so if you are a regular at Monkey Hill bar � in which case, Cheers! I took this shot with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 17-55mm f2.8 lens. This was a timed long exposure, using a manfrotto tripod.
