Artist's Description

This is a shot of Ardmucknish Bay, a quiet little cove that sits beneath Beinn Lora on the west coast of Scotland. This particular view looks west out towards the Sound of Mull and the coastal town of Oban. We visited the Tralee Bay campsite in September 2013 and this was actually the last of the landscape shots I was able to take before strong and persistent rain set in for the next 2 to 3 days. As you can see, the clouds were beginning to form, but there just enough sky left for me to capture some of the colour of the sunset before it disappeared for a few days. There arent many spots along the bay were you can photograph the waves like this. I had to drive along the main road at Benderloch before I found a way down the small bluff onto this narrow stretch and sandy and rocky shoreline; a shoreline that I had spotted was taking some wave and spray from our caravan window at the other side of the bay.
