Artist's Description
I've had the chance to get down to this reach of the River Coe a couple of times now. The objective has always been to get a shot of Bidean Nam Bian, the most striking of the Glencoe mountains, with a strong foreground. Studying photography has taught me to get down low and place a lot of onus on a pin sharp and complimentary foreground. This has meant taking some time to understand topics such as hyper focal distance and the difficulties of trying to retain definition on the edges of a wide angle lens. It is a long road for me, but this image is one that i can use to hone such techniques.
