Artist's Description
This is a shot taken on the Galveston Seawall beach, just in front of the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier. The shot was taken at sunset early on a Saturday morning in October 2013. I had actually just run off one of the rock jetties as I realized the position of the rising sun was not quite what I was expecting. As I was hot footing it towards the �inboard� jetty next the pier, I saw the warm glow of the sun reflecting nicely on the rippled sand and decided it was certainly worth setting up and taking a shot right there and then. This was one occasion when I was caught out by the light, but yet managed to recover and get the shot I wanted. It doesn�t always quite work out like that though!
