Artist's Description
In October 2010, we took a road trip out west, which included driving out from Las Vegas to Death Valley in California. As exciting a prospect as Death Valley was, the drive out there was just as intriguing, as this particular shot shows. It was taken- well I�m not sure where, but it was just over the State Line in California and the landscape was simply mesmeric. Not only did it have one of those arrow straight roads that are so synonymous with the American desert, but the distant mountains seemed to morph so gracefully into the vast desert plain. If ever there was a landscape just begging you to pull over and get your gear out, then this was it.
