Artist's Description

This is the Portcullis of Edinburgh Castle – the iron gates entrance to this famous Scottish landmark. The cobbles and the lion rampant are the standout aspects of this image, but sadly there’s very little to do about keeping the tourists out of the image (I was one too!). As well kept as these cobbles are, I often wonder just how far back they date? Scotland, 2012.
