Artist's Description

A juxtaposition of the old and new in New Orleans – the old being the fire escape ladders on the relatively ancient Royal Street apartment in the French Quarter. The new is the more modern array of endless windows on the One Shell Square tower in the central business district. I purposely cropped the edges of the tower out to suggest an endless array of windows, with the tower dwarfing the old town. 2007
