Artist's Description
This forgotten land is actually just a couple of miles along the road from my in-laws property in the foothills of north west North Carolina. We had driven past many times and always wanted to shoot this field, and the typically designed American barn. I was glad I took the opportunity when I did, because on my next visit the grass and the barn had been given a much needed make over. What that spruce job did do, though, was to ruin this little example of Americana. The property owner may have been satisfied with the results, but the tourist in me was glad I shot it when I did!
