Description

I do struggle a little bit with finding the perfect compositional shot of the Washington Monument. It seems to me that the shot needs to incorporate some other local feature, but that feature has to be interesting in its own right. I felt this shot worked because I narrowed the depth of field and introduced a strong shadow in the trees – enough to keep them part of the image, but not enough to overpower the monument. Washington DC, 2022.
