The drive through Mesa Verde park, in south west Colorado, was simply amazing. Take this off worldly landscape. Clearly it was the result of a wildfire, but it looked eerie and breathtaking just the same. The only problem I had in taking a shot if it was that I wasn�t sure quite which burnt out tree to pick out; which one would lend itself to a nice composition. In the end I went with this one. It looked great set against the rather ominous stormy background. More interestingly, though, it reminded me of something; something quite �geeky�. Anyone remember the Crystalline Entity in Star Trek TNG? Doesn�t it look even just a little like it?
